Andrea Alvarez

I have been a teacher for the past 9 years and this is my second year of teaching at OCS.

From the moment I job shadowed a teacher in high school, I felt God's call on my heart to teach.  As I went through college and began my field placements, that calling only grew stronger - I knew I was walking in the path He had prepared for me.  I love that no two days are ever the same, and that I get to discover and celebrate the unique personalities of each of my students.  I feel truly blessed ot play a part in shaping their futures - spiritually, academically, and socially - and to watch them grow into the people God created them to be.

My Deep Hope for my students is based on Psalm 37:23 -24 which states, “The LORD makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with His hand.”
