Academics

Our academic focus starts with our mission, which in part states that we will " provide a distinctly Christian education where students learn about God, His Word, His world".  From this base we build our curriculum selection, our classroom focus and our intentions for learning.  Our academics will always be taught through the lens of Scripture and the Word of God will be weaved through each moment of each school day.  The teachers at OCS have been trained in the "Teaching for Transformation" model which focuses our desires for every child to be taught every subject with the learning outcome of being transformed to think of every subject as how it relates to God's story for our lives.
