Nicole Velzke

This is my 25th year of teaching, and my 3rd at OCS!

I became a teacher because of my third grade teacher, Mrs. Navis.  She had a way of making all her students feel like they could learn, and they were special.  I wanted to become a teacher and do the same for my students.  My goal is to challenge my students and help them find their hidden potential, knowing they can do hard things.  I want my students to understand that no one is perfect and mistakes are okay; mistakes are the way we learn.  God has given each of us unique gifts and talents which we can use to bring glory and honor to Him!
 

My Deep Hope is that my students will know and understand that they belong to God.  He created you, formed you, redeemed you, and calls you by name. (Isaiah 43:1)
