I am starting my 25th year in education. My wife, Corrina, and I started our teaching career in 1998 at Heritage Christian Schools, where we taught and ministered for six years. The Lord then led me to be an Associate Principal at Fort Atkinson High School in Fort Atkinson, WI. For 7 years I served there and then I took the role of Principal at Barrie Elementary School in Fort Atkinson for the next ten years. Three years ago God led me and my family to OCS... and each one of us would tell you it has been the best move of our life!
I chose teaching because I wanted to invest in kids' lives. I loved history and I loved coaching. Above all, I loved the Lord and wanted to honor Him with the interests He had given me. I had some amazing teachers growing up, and I realized the impact and the joy they had in their lives in their calling. The kids I have had the chance to work with, especially here at OCS, are amazing! Combining a love for Christ and the truth of His word, along with a joy of working with students makes this the best job in the world!
The truth of the Bible is central to everything that happens at OCS. When Corrina and I were prayerfully considering a career and ministry move to OCS, we did our homework and we asked a lot of questions. We did not want to serve at a "Christian" school by name only, and we continually discovered that OCS is a place where Christ and His word is placed as supreme and exalted! We also love the staff as they have become dear friends and co-laborers for Christ, and the students and families are second to none!
My deep hope for the students at OCS is that they will realize the gift of salvation that Jesus Christ provided for each one, and that God will never back out on His promise of salvation. “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope, without wavering,k for He who promised is faithful.” Hebrews 10:23
