Elaine Kappers

I am in my 38th year at OCS and this is the only school I have taught in. I came right from college and was given the opportunity to start the Resource Room program here. I taught for four years, doing 4th grade and special education. After my first child was born, I went part-time and then focused on the Resource Room.  I love working with children and helping them grow both academically and spiritually.  I love celebrating their gifts while finding ways to help them with difficult areas.  Children are a gift from God and I pray that God uses me to have some kind of positive impact on their lives.

The title of my Deep Hope is - "You are God's Unique and Intentional Design".  The Bible verse that I have with it is Psalm 139:13-14 which states, “For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
