Elaine Kappers

I am in my 36th year at OCS and this is the only school I have taught in. I came right from college and was given the opportunity to start the Resource Room program here. I taught for four years, doing 4th grade and special education. After my first child was born, I went part-time and then focused on the Resource Room.

My Deep Hope for my students is that they will have a true understanding that each of us is created in the image of God with individual gifts and needs.  Each person is to be honored and is an important part of the body of Christ as we share our gifts with one another and receive support for our areas of need.
